We are proud to introduce our new Director of Plant Operations, Dave Smith, and welcome him into the St. Anthony’s family!
Dave has worked in communities for years and has multiple years of experience as Director of Maintenance. He knows how to run a great team. Dave is a jack-of-all trades and, as you will find, he’s somebody you want to have around. Dave’s experience includes plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting and repairing buildings inside-and-out, as well as many other important skills.
In addition to maintenance and housekeeping, Dave will also be in charge of building safety. Dave has been known to cook in a pinch, helping out wherever necessary, even driving a bus on occasion.
A few words from Dave:
“I have been married for 36 years and have two sons and 7 grandchildren.” I enjoy time at the lake, boating, fishing, and spending time with my wife and grandkids. My wife and I have run a Homeless Ministry for over 10 years; we go out every other Saturday and deliver a warm meal and clothing to those less fortunate than ourselves. I enjoyed a 20 year career with Smithfield Farmland in Kansas City before the division I was in was sold.
I enjoy being around the residents at my current community and I take pride in any work I undertake. I have always had the mindset that when I work for my residents I should bring the same attitude I would if I was serving my parents or grandparents. This mindset keeps me doing the best I can do for all our residents, and enjoying who they are. I am looking forward to serving the St. Anthony’s residents and working with the St. Anthony’s team!”
