Everything You Need to Know About Memory Care

What senior living options are available?

At St. Anthony’s, we offer three senior living options based on resident care needs: Independent Living for older adults who do not require additional care but are ready to move to senior living, Assisted Living for seniors who require support with activities of daily living (ADLs), and Memory Care for seniors diagnosed with a memory loss illness such as dementia or Alzheimer’s.

How is my level of care determined?

Our trained staff assesses each resident to determine the level of care needed. As things change, this level of care may need to be adjusted, and customized services are available to accommodate these changing needs. We work closely with residents and their families to develop a care plan that allows as much autonomy as possible while providing support where needed.

What does it mean that St. Anthony’s is faith-based?

We are a faith-based senior living community sponsored by the Catholic Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph. This means faith is an important part of our mission and the lifestyle we offer our residents through our on-site chapel, Daily Mass, and resident priests.

With a servant’s heart, we are here to enrich the lives of those who have pioneered our past. Guided by the Holy Spirit, our mission is to ensure residents live an active lifestyle with purpose and peace of mind.

Are non-Catholic people, or people of different faith backgrounds, welcomed at St. Anthony’s?

We lovingly welcome seniors of all backgrounds and experiences to become part of the St. Anthony’s family!

What activities do you offer for residents?

We offer a wide variety of fun and unique activities for St. Anthony’s residents to enjoy every day, all with a perspective of holistic wellness. Exercise with your peers in our on-site fitness center, play a game of cards in St. Peter’s Pub, and join us after Mass for a glass of wine at Happy Hour each evening.

Do you allow pets?

Yes! We welcome residents to bring their furry friends to live with them at St. Anthony’s. All we ask is that you pay a one-time Pet Deposit to cover any cleaning needs after you move out.

What kind of dining is available to St. Anthony’s residents?

Our restaurant provides chef-prepared, dietician-approved meals that easily compare to any five-star restaurant! While residents of Assisted Living and Memory Care have all of their meals provided, Independent Living residents enjoy continental breakfast six days a week plus fifteen delicious meals each month, with the option to purchase more separately.
